NEXPO - House Gawaling

We produced the video work "Haus Gawaling" in 2021 for NEXPO - SITE VISIT II: Haus Gawaling. Haus Gawaling is located in the village of Mathon at the foot of Piz Beverin and launches a new residency program for cultural workers, organized by Lhaga Koondhor and Doris Dehan Son. The "site visit" presents a concert by US rapper, artist and activist Mykki Blanco and an exhibition by artist Maya Hottarek. The initiative of the ten largest Swiss cities for a new national exhibition is called NEXPO - the new Expo, because it will take on a completely new form: it will be sustainable, future-oriented, decentralized and take place throughout Switzerland. It will not be an Expo on a defined and fenced-in site. It will connect cultural initiatives throughout Switzerland, in all language regions, in cities, agglomerations and in the countryside. It builds bridges between the center and the periphery, forms a Swiss-wide network and creates meeting places.
